Good Society Readings is made by Ethos.

Ethos exists to help young people prepare for a future shaped by AI.

AI can already draft your essay, prepare the lawyer's brief, produce the doctor's diagnosis, and write the engineer's code. As machines take on more of the work, the human part is knowing which of it is worth doing — and having the discipline to follow through. Those are the two capacities we believe the future will reward: discernment and discipline.

A Good Society Reading is where that begins. You read people who thought hard about how to live — thinkers like Plato, Seneca, Mandela — and wrestle with what you actually believe. No lecture. No right answer. Just big questions and honest disagreement. It's the smallest, truest version of what we do, and it's free for schools to run.

The fellowship is the longer road. Over a year, a small cohort of teenagers wrestle with a question they can't stop thinking about — reading, writing in public, and building something real. GSR is the first step. The fellowship is the full journey.

Ethos was founded by Navin Muruga, a social entrepreneur who spent years running fellowship programmes across Southeast Asia.
